The Demon Forest

Legend has it, there's a forest in Mie Prefecture that was once inhabited by a human cannibal. The cannibal was encouraged to devour the flesh of others by demons who inhabited the same forest... 

 To the  right, the Shrine of the White Falls.

 To the left, the Demon waits in it's castle, hungry for visitors.

Though the cannibal was killed by revolting villagers, the demon reputedly lives on.
